Domestic Shipping

GenPartSupply.com offers several flexible domestic shipping options for your convenience.

Economy Shipping

GenPartSupply.com offers a low priced economys shipping service for all domestic items less than 150 pounds. All ground shipments will take 0-2 business days for processing before they are shipped. The Economy Shipping option will be calculated when you check out, or can also be calculated on any product page by clicking the "estimate shipping" link.

Depending on the size, value and destination of an order, GenPartSupply will ship the order using the most economical method possible from either UPS or USPS.

Items over 150lbs must be sent via an LTL carrier and an additional handling fee will apply.

Expedited Shipping Options

If you need your items faster, GenPartSupply offers Next Day Air and Second Day Air shipping options for most items less than 150lbs sent to addresses within the Continental United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). Charges for expedited shipping vary and are calculated during checkout.

  • Domestic Ground Shipping
    • Order processing time can take 2-4 business days before they are sent out to shipping
    • Shipping to most of the western, Midwestern and southern US takes between 1-3 business days
    • Shipping to parts of the west coast, Midwest and most of the east coast takes up to 4 business days
    • Shipping to the northeastern US, Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico takes 5 business days

Please note the following:

  • All expedited/express shipments will require a signature for delivery. Some expedited items will take up to 24-hours to process before they are sent out to shipping.
  • Orders over 150lbs may only be sent via LTL carrier (additional LTL carrier handling chargs may apply). Expedited shipment is not available for freightliner shipments.
  • If you are paying using check, please allow adequate payment processing time. Payment must be processed before your order can be shipped
  • As some items ship from different warehouses, items ordered together are not always shipped together 
  • Expedited shipping is not available for all orders, particularly for special orders or items shipped direct from certain manufacturers.

Tracking Numbers

For your convenience, tracking information will be e-mailed to you as soon as your order has been shipped.

Sales Tax

Michigan residents must add an additional 6% for state sales tax. If you live outside of Michigan, we do not collect tax for your state. Many states require you to independently pay tax on items purchased online, check your local regulations for details.

Oversized Shipping

Items that are oversized, weigh over 150 pounds, or require special handling will ship separately from other items that you order and will incur an additional handling fee. These items will ship via LTL carrier. Once your order leaves our distribution center, the freight company will contact you to arrange a specific delivery time.

Freightliner Handling Fee Schedule:

  • $125.00 Residential or Commercial Freight Delivery

Residential Delivery of heavy (over 150lbs) items requires a truck equipped with a lift-gate at an additional charge. Deliveries to facilities equipped with a loading dock usually do not require a lift-gate. The driver is responsible to bring the product to the "tailgate" of the trailer; from that point on it is your responsibility to unload the item. If you need a lift-gate, please arrange this with the freight company prior to the scheduled delivery time. To avoid a lift-gate fee you may pick up your order at the trucking terminal. Please note that each shipment requires signature upon delivery. Also, be sure to inspect the shipment when it arrives and notify the driver of any damage.

International Shipping

Orders sent outside of the continental U.S. must be sent using either an expedited shipping option or an independent freight company.

We ship to many international destinations including: Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Japan, France, Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Holland, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Singapore, Spain and Sweden. You can find the cost of delivery by clicking the "Shipping Rates" button on the view cart page. We can also arrange delivery to many other countries; you can call to find these rates.

Please note: All international sales are final. Due to our agreements, we cannot ship some items internationally.

Customs, Duties and Taxes on International Orders

We do not collect international tax, tariffs or duties for orders shipped outside the USA. It is solely your responsibility to pay these fees upon delivery.

Worldwide Express Saver Shipping

  • Order processing takes (1-5) days; delivery time depends on your destination, but generally takes (3-5) business days. Delivered by end of day.

Returns & Replacements

GenPartSupply.com’s return policy is designed to be as fair and hassle-free as possible. We offer a 30 day return period where any item can be returned to us for any reason*. Please contact us prior to returning the item to obtain a Return Authorization.

How to Return an Item

To initiate the return process, please click here to access the “my account” page (you will need to log in to your GenPartSupply.com account if you haven’t already). Find the order that contains the product(s) you wish to return and click the link to “return items”. Before the request is submitted, you will be prompted to provide additional info about the reason for your return request. Please be sure to contact us prior to returning something in order to make the process as seamless as possible.

Non-Defective Items (Changed mind, misordered)

You are responsible for all return shipping costs on non-defective items, as well as a restocking fee of up to 25%. Upon request, GenPartSupply can provide a flat-rate UPS return shipping label for non-defective merchandise for $10 (deducted from refund). 

Non-Defective Large Items (Changed mind, misordered)

For returns of non-defective large item(s), you are responsible for paying return freight. Freight fees on large item range between $50.00 and $500.00. Restocking fees of up to 25% will be deducted from any refund/credit on items that are not damaged or defective.

Large Item Return Policy (defective, damaged, etc.)
Due to the expense of shipping heavy items, large items are subject to additional terms.

  • Be sure to carefully inspect all Heavy Item (freight) deliveries for damage before signing the bill of lading as freight handling charges cannot be refunded.  If item(s) arrive damaged or defective, you must note this on the shipping receipt and refuse delivery to avoid paying return freight charges. If this is not done, you will be responsible for return freight charges back to us or the manufacturer. Please notify us of any delivery problems as soon as possible to expedite the refund process.
  • In situations where a damaged product can be repaired by either a factory-technician or end-user, GenPartSupply.com may opt to provide replacement parts and/or a service technician instead of returning the whole item

Please note that you will be responsible for the additional freight costs in the following instances:

  • You miss your delivery appointment
  • You refuse or return a non-damaged, non-defective item

Important Exceptions

Electronic parts

No returns accepted on electronic parts unless defective. This includes generator control boards, stepper motors, magnetos, ect.

Please make sure you are purchasing the correct part for your application before placing your order. SPS can look up the corrcet part with your model and serial numbers. Please call 248-437-9299 for us to look up the correct part. 

Gasoline Powerd Items

Due to hazardous item shipping regulations, items with gasoline engines are ineligible for returns or refunds after gasoline has been added to the tank. These items must be repaired at a authorized Factory Service Center.

Risk-Free Reconditioned Items

All reconditioned items offered by GenPartSupply.com are sold risk-free and therefore have an extended return period of 90 days. All other return conditions described on this page apply as-is.

International Returns

Orders shipped outside of the US are final and are not eligible for return, regardless of the nature of the return. We will only accept exchanges on international orders and the customer is responsible for paying all shipping charges for getting an item back to GenPartSupplyGenPartSupply is not responsible for the shipping charges associated with exchanges on international orders.

Packing and Sending Your Return

When sending an item back to GenPartSupply.com, please ensure the following:

  • The item is in it’s original box with all original packaging, accessories & documents. Returned items missing original packaging, accessories or documents are subject to a restocking fee.
  • The product is securely & properly packaged to avoid damage in transit

Restocking Fees

In order to keep our prices low, we will charge a restocking fee in certain instances to recoup the cost associated with returns. A restocking fee of up to 25% will be assessed in the following situations.

  • Non-defective merchandise
  • Merchandise that has been visibly used or worn
  • Orders "Refused" without authorization
  • Returns that were shipped back after 30 days of the date received (Note: unless authorized, late returns will be rejected)
  • Any return that is not the result of defective/damaged merchandise or a shipping error

Important Note: Some items that are shipped directly from the manufacturer are subject to a restocking fee up to 25% regardless of their condition.

Warranty and Parts Info

After 30 days, purchases made from GenPartSupply are no longer covered by our Return Policy. After this time, products are covered by their respective Manufacturer’s Warranty and in most cases, may be brought to an Authorized Service Center for repair.

Pricing Errors

GenPartSupply strives to provide accurate prices and product descriptions. However, prices and quantities may change without notice. GenPartSupply reserves the right to limit orders based on out of stock situations, pricing and description errors.

Orders received by GenPartSupply.com are not consider final until order has been manually verified for accuracy. GenPartSupply.com is not liable for pricing errors that are a result of data synchronization problems, database corruption, malicious activity or any other cause that results in inaccurate "fair-market" value pricing.
